Team intro
The Rotterdam Jaguars are the largest lacrosse club in the Netherlands. Their home is the Dutch Eredivisie football club Excelsior just off the Nieuwe Maas river.
While the women have now won 5 championships in a row, this was the men's first championship game appearance since 2009 (and first win since 2008).
The Rotterdam Jaguars club just celebrated their 25 year anniversary last season.
They're led by a number of current and former Dutch national team players at every position, including star goalie Thomas Haitsma, leading scorer Casper Bovy, defenseman Taco Blom, and midfielders Jasper Barsingerhorn & Jelle Meerman. They also bring some international flavor with National team players from Spain & Latvia and a number of former American university players.
